Our Story

Adam and Lucy’s love story began in October 2020, at a Hayes Valley restaurant in the heart of San Francisco. Lucy, a Graphic Designer returning home to California from two years in Manhattan, had just gotten an apartment with her four friends in the city. Adam, a Construction Manager interested in Bay Area real estate, was settled in Oakland after moving West from his home state, Florida. Who would have thought their paths would cross.

Bumble did!

In the height of the pandemic and online dating, luck and fate were on their sides. They matched on Bumble (though Adam did say that he was 7’6”) and the rest is history.

The months turned to years, and their love grew stronger. They celebrated each other’s successes, supported any hard times along the way, and together enjoyed countless trips, concerts, adventures, and memories. In 2021 they moved into an apartment in the Inner Richmond just steps from Golden Gate Park, marking the next chapter in their lives together.

In September 2023, they planned a trip to Europe. True to character, Lucy meticulously planned their schedule and organized every second of their trip weeks in advance, while Adam learned about the vacation plans the day before they left. On their last night in Barcelona, their first stop of the trip, Adam pulled off the mission of a lifetime—a surprise proposal. In the outdoor plaza next to their hotel, Adam asked Lucy to marry him.
